Privacy Policy
Who am I?
My name is Jon David Byrne and my website address is: https://englischeuebersetzungen.de.
What personal data I collect and why I collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
I am responsible for any data submitted to my website. If you fill in the contact form and leave your name and e-mail address this will be stored on the database. Please note that this information will not be shared or sold to any third parties under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Use of Google Analytics
On my website, I use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google". Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and which permit an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated through these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transferred to Google in the USA and stored there.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website in order to put together reports on website activities for us and in order to provide other services related to website use and Internet use. Google may also pass on this information to third parties if this is legally required or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf.
According to its own statements, Google will not, under any circumstances, connect your IP address with other data from Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser software; we do point out, however, that by doing so you may be unable to use the full functionality of our website.
Google also offers a deactivation add-on for most popular browsers that gives you more control over which data Google records on the websites you have visited. The add-on communicates to the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) that no information on the website visit is to be transferred to Google Analytics. The deactivation add-on for browsers from Google Analytics does not, however, prevent information being transferred to us or to other web analysis services we may use. Further information about installing the browser add-on can be found via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must click on this link to prevent future tracking by Google Analytics within this website. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. Clicking on the link creates an opt-out cookie in your browser that is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.
If you have consented to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google Account and using information from your Google Account to personalize your ads, Google will use your data with Google Analytics to create target lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google Analytics will initially track your Google-authenticated ID associated with your Google Account (that is, personally identifiable information) on our website. Afterwards, Google Analytics will temporarily link your ID with your Google Analytics data to optimize our target audience.
If you do not agree to this, you can opt-out in the "My Account" section of your Google Account.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on my website (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where I send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Please note that your contact information is kept until further notice and this information will not be shared or sold to any third parties under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
